Shipping insurance
Your card is insured before it leaves your hands. Both directions.
We insure submissions through Cabrella, a specialist shipping insurer built for high-value collectibles rather than general parcels.
The problem with normal shipping insurance
Nobody can tell a courier what an ungraded card is worth.
Standard carrier cover is written for parcels, not collectibles. Declare a raw 1st Edition Charizard and you are relying on a claims process with no way to value it — no grade, no recent sale, no serial number.
That gap is exactly what Cabrella exists to close. Ungraded items are valued through Beckett, Card Ladder and comparable sources, so a card is assessed on what it is actually worth rather than on a courier's default liability.
- Valued on declared replacement value, not carrier liability
- Covers loss, damage and theft in transit
- Ungraded cards valued through recognised card sources
- Coverage available up to $150,000 per package
Inbound
Your card is covered on the way to the bench, before we have ever touched it.
On the bench
Photographed at intake and logged against your order the moment it arrives.
Outbound
Covered again on the way home, at the same declared value.
If something goes wrong
Claims go through Cabrella's specialist process rather than a courier's.

Questions
About the cover.
Is my card insured on the way to you?
Yes. Cover runs in both directions — inbound to the bench and outbound back to you — at the value declared on your submission.
How is an ungraded card valued?
Through recognised card pricing sources including Beckett and Card Ladder. This is the part most insurers cannot do: without a grade or a recent sale, a general policy has nothing to value the card against.
What is the coverage limit?
Cabrella offers coverage up to $150,000 per package. The limit that applies to your submission is the value you declare, so declare accurately — under-declaring caps what can be recovered.
Why not just use the carrier's insurance?
Carrier liability is designed for general parcels and is typically limited. It is not built to assess an ungraded collectible, and claims run through the courier rather than a specialist.
Does insurance guarantee a grade?
No. Insurance covers loss, damage or theft in transit. Grading outcomes are determined solely by the grading company and are never guaranteed by us.
How do I make a claim?
Contact us first. We hold the intake photographs, timestamps and submission record, which is most of what a claim needs, and we will take it through Cabrella's process with you.
Send it with confidence.
Declare the value on your submission and it is covered from the moment it leaves you until it is back in your hands.
