The Mint Workshop Sports
The sports bench. Baseball to hockey.
Our sports-only side of the workshop. Same non-destructive methods, same bench, same standards — dedicated to sports card restoration.
Sports we take
Every sport, every era.
If it is a card and it is a sport, it belongs on the bench.
Straight about it
What a vintage sports card can and cannot get back.
Sports cards carry different damage from TCG. Rough cuts, wax stains, print lines and sixty-year-old cardboard behave nothing like a modern holo.
Centering is set at the cut and cannot be changed. Anyone who tells you otherwise is trimming, and a trimmed card is a ruined card.
- Corner and edge wear — softened, rebuilt where sound
- Surface scratches and scuffs — reduced
- Creases and dents — reduced, rarely erased
- Centering — set at the cut, never touched
- Trimming — never, under any circumstance
We don't fix whitening, and we never trim.
Whitening on a vintage edge is the paper core showing through. Putting colour back is ink, and trimming to clean an edge destroys the card. Both get a card flagged as altered. We will tell you which of these your card has before you send it.

Sports questions
Before you send it.
Is this a different company?
No. The Mint Workshop Sports is the sports side of the same workshop — same bench, same people, same methods. It has its own Instagram because sports collectors and TCG collectors want to see different cards.
Do I submit somewhere else?
No. One submission form for everything. Choose Sports Cards on the first screen and pick your sport from there.
Can you work on a graded card?
Yes. We open PSA, SGC, BGS, TAG and CGC slabs so you do not have to. There is a cracking fee unless your tier includes it.
Can you fix centering?
No, and nobody honest can. Centering is set when the sheet is cut. Changing it means trimming, which destroys the card's value and gets it flagged as altered.
What about wax stains and print lines?
Wax stains can often be reduced depending on how far they have set into the stock. Print lines are in the printing itself and cannot be removed. We will tell you which you have before we start.
Send us the one you gave up on.
Choose Sports Cards on the first screen. If it is not worth doing, we will tell you before we start.
