What the job is actually like.

Most of the day is one card, under a light, for longer than you would think. It is repetitive the way a craft is repetitive: the same motions, never quite the same card.

The stakes are real. A card on this bench can be worth more than a car, and the owner has usually had it since they were nine. There is no undo.

The roles

Three ways in.

Solid squares are what the role involves. Hollow squares are the parts worth knowing before you apply. Openings vary — apply anyway and we keep you on file.

On-site

Card repair specialist

The experienced bench seat. Crease and dent reduction, surface work, corner and edge repair across Pokémon, TCG and sports cards.

  • Work independently from our written process
  • Handle high-value and vintage stock
  • Photograph and log each card at every stage
  • Call out cards that should not be worked on
  • Prior restoration, conservation or fine handcraft experience expected
On-site

Junior card restorer

The way in. Full training on our methods — no prior card restoration experience needed, just the temperament for it.

  • Trained on every service from the ground up
  • Start on lower-value stock and progress
  • Learn intake photography and condition logging
  • Build toward independent bench work
  • Requires patience for repetitive close work and a steady hand
Remote contract

Remote card restoration contractor

Mail-in workflow. For experienced restorers who work from their own bench, with cards shipped out and back under our process and insurance.

  • Work from your own space on your own schedule
  • Cards shipped both ways, insured
  • Same written process and photo logging as the workshop
  • Paid per completed card
  • Existing restoration experience required — this is not a training route

What we look for

Temperament over CV.

We can teach the methods. We cannot teach someone to slow down, or to admit they are unsure about a card before rather than after.

If you collect, that helps — you already understand why a crease matters. It is not a requirement.

  • Patience, and honesty about mistakes

  • Careful with other people's property
  • Willing to say a card should not be touched

Are you hiring right now?

Openings come and go. Write to us either way — we keep applications on file and go to them first when a seat opens.

Do I need experience with cards?

For the junior role, no — full training is provided. The specialist and remote contractor roles expect existing restoration or fine handcraft experience.

Can I work remotely?

Only as an experienced contractor on the mail-in workflow. Cards ship both ways insured and you work to the same written process. On-site roles stay on-site — most of the equipment does not travel.
